Thank you all so much for your help and advice! As of yet we still do not have acsess to our bank account. The former officers are fighting us because we do not want the account linked to any individual. I even walked in on a meeting between them and our principal and they were trying to convince him that we were not thinking clearly because credit unions are so much better. Supposedly they are supposed to bring us a cashiers check for almost $25,000, and close that account Monday....we are not holding our breath. We also have discovered that our former President has locked us into a two year contract with a fundrasing company that the parents hate (no the members did not vote on it) We had planned not to have a fall fundraiser because we have a lot of money already with no specific goal as of yet to spend it on.But she took a $1000.00 signup bonus and cashed it (for the PTO). She also locked us in to a Santa Secret Shop (that she and the Former Treasurer work for) and already used their signing incentives>>>we wanted to use a more economical company and only charge kids the price to cover our cost. These contracts were signed after she knew she was not going to be an officer. We plan on making ammendments to the bylaws right off the bat>>>On a good note the teachers are happy and the membership is growing at record speed!! In order to not create a bad situation we have not told any of our members what is going on because we don't want any he said-she said, we do assume that when we ask for the ammendments to the by laws everyone will figure out there has been a problem. But we continue to tread forward with a happy smile:)
