New PTO

9 Years, 8 Months ago

Help! My school is interested in forming a PTO but we are not sure where to begin. People interested in forming group are the Principal, reading teacher, librarian, grade 2 teacher, a single parent, a two parent team and a grandmother. This is a good sampling of student situations at the school.

We know there will be resistance to the group but are willing to forge ahead. Can anyone point me in the right direction for aquiring start up needs. (an outline, guide, wisdom?)

Thank you ahead of time for any tips you can give.

We are starting from scratch!

Question.... is there an organization already established in your school such as a PTA etc...? Just wondering if you were trying to start from scratch or if you were trying to switch over?
