Thank you also! I am chair of teacher appreciation for my daughter's school and this will help me also. I am going to canvass a few nearby businesses to see if they will donate.

Subject: Donation for Teacher/Staff Appreciation Dinner

The parents of the (your school name) P.T.O. are once again planning our annual Teacher/Staff Appreciation Dinner to be held during Teacher Appreciation Week.

Every year we honor our schools hard working, dedicated teachers and their outstanding support staff with a dinner and door prizes. We have booked the (city) Nutrition Center for Thursday May 4, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. for this dinner. The food is purchased and prepared by the P.T.O., the dinner is served by Eugene Field’s student council representatives and desserts are homemade by our parent members.

As a parent I feel that (school)is very blessed to have such a wonderful group of teachers. Every teacher is an asset to our school and the parents and students are privileged to be a part of this.

Will you join our P.T.O. parent members, student council representatives and principal, (principals name)in giving our teachers a big Thank You! We are asking area businesses to donate an item or gift certificate that we can use as door prizes. If you are interested, you may contact the school at xxx-xxx-xxxx and ask for either (secretaries) or feel free to contact myself at xxx-xxx-xxxx.

We will be happy to pick up your donation and you will also receive a thank you from the P.T.O. with the name of the teacher who received your donation.

Thank you,

I am the Chair for Teacher Appreciation Week at my elementary and wanted to know if anyone had a letter they could email me asking for donations. I am planning a daily raffle for the teachers and wanted to go to a couple of restaurants and area businesses. Thanks so much. Missy
