Good to know thanks Tim. I was thinking of going to the one in PA which would be about 6 hrs from Buffalo. But wasnt sure if it would be worth it if it was only local vendors.

We don't have any of our "conference model" events on the calendar right now. But we re-assess and add events all the time. This spring will be all Expos.

On the regional nature, I'd say that very nearly all (all that i can think of) of the vendors will be vendors that work in at least the multi-state area around that Expo. School vendors don't get too far, if they aren't willing to travel at least a couple of hours.

But if you're talking about flying to one of our expos from a good distance away, then yes -- some of the vendors may not service your region.

Will you be doing any conferences in the future or are you keeping the expo format?
Our PTO group is looking to share info for ideas, things that work/don't etc. I would think at the expos many of the vendors would be localized and not be able to work for a PTO that wouldn't be in the immediate area. Say for assemblies, fundraisers that type of thing.

I am disappointed to hear that there won't be any PTO Today Conference/Expos on the West Coast this year. Last year 3 of our officers attended the Sacramento Conference and really got a lot out of it!!! I was looking forward to more time in those workshops... since we were only able to go to 3 (each) of them because of the time frames. I really wanted to learn more about "giving back" to your parents, students and school.

I attended the nashville conference last year and really enjoyed it. While I enjoyed the expo part, my group is looking to attend a conference. Since you are not having that format this year, any suggestions on other parent involvement Conferences/Conventions? I am still pushing to attend the expo as well.

I am in Louisiana but Dallas or Houston would be wonder--we could get there within 3 hours(Dallas) or 5 hours(Houston).
Thanks!
