You can get quotes from:

AIM: 800-876-4044

or

RVNUCCIO: 800-567-2685

No reason for you to have to go without insurance. Good luck.

We are a PTA and are seriously looking at becoming a PTO. I am not willing to risk not having insurance. Just curious as to the cost for bonding, insurance etc. Just wondering if anyone in the the state of Maryland would like to share that information with me. Thanks for your help.

I know this question was along time ago, but I've spent hours on this site today and I've been reading everything. I can tell you that insurance for PTOs is not expensive. It might be a bit more than you're paying through the PTA but that's nothing compared to how much you pay in dues. WE went PTO and we have insurance and we're doing great.

We are a PTO as well and do not have insurance. As long as we are on school property it is a school event. We were looking at a citywide event but it is off school property so it has not been approved yet. We give money to a graduating senior each year.

We budget our money for field trips, enrichment, supplies, talent show, fiels day, family fun night, safety patrol, classroom teachers etc.

Hi! I am with PTO and we do not have any insurance. The officers agreed that it was not needed at this time. You could go to the superintendent and ask if the schools insurance covers for some kind of volunteer work while on campus. I am just throwing ideas out I really am not sure of how it all works. Hope this helps. Keep smiling!!
