I know about the history of the PTA, what is the history of the National PTO? Is there a National PTO?

Hi Gary --

No, there is no "National PTO." PTOs are independent groups.

PTO Today (through this site, our print magazine and our "PTO Show" trade shows)aims to help all parent groups (PTOs, PTAs, etc.). You'll run across all kinds of acronymns -- from PTA to PTO to HSA to PTC and more! All of those (except PTA) are independent groups.
