Need New Snack Fundraising ideas

17 years 1 month ago #131169 by FOLSherry
In reponse to Styden98, they offered a cafeteria program where you could buy them per case of 36 (I think) and sell them for $1 each. That is what we are going to implement. I know they also offer the fundraiser packs of 12 and the dispensing machines, but we thought the individual packs were the best way to introduce it at our school. Good luck, hope you find something that works.

How much will you guys be selling them for?? My kids got to taste them and so did I . They are really yummy and would probably sell wonderfully. I'll have to look into it more. Thanks for reminding me of them.

FYI -- the folks at our Chicago Expo were: www.breezefreeze.com

How about pre package items. Like granola bars, go-guart, pudding and jello cups, fruit roll up. These are some of the things that are school sells during lunch. we also sell bees sticks and peanutbutter and jelly, Crustables.

jurijeka, its a national thing, based on a 2004 federal law. if you search Wellness Policy on these boards, you can read all about it or get the link for all the details.

Our school district won't allow the sale of any food items during lunchtime. From what they told us, we are Title I and participate in the governmentally funded lunch program and if we sell food items during that time, the school could lose their funding. I think it's a bit extreme but we have to play by the rules. I don't know if this is just an Illinois thing or what.

I think it would be fun to do something like that.
