Check out PTOSanta.com. This looks interesting. Our school is considering doing this.

How about a Mother/Son breakfast and Father/Daughter dance? We have several restaurants in our area that will prepare a pancake breakfast at their restaurants for a small fee and the school keeps the remaining $$$. Father/Daughter dances are always a big hit because the girls love to dress up and dads enjoy the time with their daughters. Hope this helps.

We also do spirit wear and I think the coffee is a great idea..Also look into the scrips program. I'm looking into that and that looks like a really good thing. it's great lakes scrips I just brougt it up under google and found it that way..Good luck..

Once a month we do Popcorn days. Pop lots of popcorn. THe teacher then collect the money and how many students bought popcorn in their class. we then make the number they need and deliver it to the class. we charge $.50 cents per bag. THe the last month of the school year we have super popcorn day. they get juice popcorn candy and a small toy for $2.00 per bag. We do this to raise money for our christmas store. Pto lets us spend 1500 dollars on differnt thing to pu in it. Then we sale it to the kids so they can buy items for christmas for their loved ones. THe christmas store is our biggest fund raiser. We spend 1500 and usually make back a little over 3000. We are a school of only 400. Hope I helped some. Melissa

We are going to try a class sponsored cookie/bake sale at lunch times this year. Each month one class sponsors the cookie tables, in which the parents from the sponsoring class send in baked goods(homemade or store bought) to be sold at their table. We will be selling the cookies for a 25 cents at all the K-12 lunches. We are doing it so that all the proceeds go straight to that teacher and class but you could do it as a general fundraiser for the PTO. We are only allowed one fundraiser a year and that is considered our PTO carnival/auction.

Same as DLF--we have a basket bingo night. In your case...instead fo asking parents to send in items you could have the PTO provide a set amount to help fill baskets and also go into the community for donations.
Provide a fun night of bingo, basket raffles, silent auction items and food.
Does you school collect Box Tops or participate in any restaurant nights so you earn a % of sales?
