Community Fun Day Booth Suggestions-Fundraiser

Our community is having a Park grand opening and they are allowing all of the non-profit organizations to participate to raise money for their organization. There is a small booth rent fee. We need suggestions on maybe a food booth(something orginal) or a game booth (something new and exciting). We need this to be a low cost expense. This is going to be in early October in North Texas. We need to put in our idea as soon as possible. Our funds are very limited. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thank you BJH PTO President, Carla

Carla,
Do you already have any popular games that you use for a school fair that can be adapted to this? There are lots of postings in this category with ideas too!
Good luck!

Hi Carla,
I am in North Texas, too. This idea isn't a food booth or a game, but we have used it at our elementary and middle school carnivals and it has been successful. We made halos out of garland and curling ribbon and sold them. You can sometimes get a discount or donations on the materials, so it isn't terribly expensive, but it does require people willing to put them together. If you want any more information, you can email me.
Linda

Our Elementary School was sponsored by BJ's Wholesale Club two years ago. We were required to participate in small monthly fundraisers and one of them was at our High Schools Cultural Fair. We set up a booth and sold Taco's in a Bag. It is a small bag of Frito's corn chips, topped with a scoop of chili, and a little grated cheese. Serve it with a napkin and fork. Sounds kind of yucky to me, but they sold like hotcakes. The students especially loved them. Have some of your BOD members make the chili, and the chips and cheese won't cost you a whole lot. Good luck!!

We have a communtity Corn Fest each summer and our PTO has a boot aimed directly towards children. We have Temporary Tatoos, Duck Pond and Ring toss. We sell the tatoo's for 50 cents and the other 2 games are 25 cents. Each child wins and the prizes are from the Oriental Trading Company. This brings in a lot of money.
