I have been "room mom" for all 4 of my kids for YEARS>>> I like to start a letter out with a possitive light ....

Let's keep this profitable fundraiser alive! Please help by contibuting a monetary gift.

Maybe, just point blank. Your monetary donation would be greatly appreciated for our auction baskets.

I also like to put a reminder on the bottom of letters...
"Please remember... fundraisers are only successfull if we all participate to make them a success."
It's nice to find any nice closing quote as well.
Good luck!

One school has the class mom make a list of items they need for sthe basket and the parents sign up for that item.

We are actually going to try that at our auction this year.

our class moms send a letter at the beginning of the year asking for one sum of money to cover parties, auction and teacher appreciation. At least that way, people know you aren't going to keep asking for money throughout the year. Good luck. maggie

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to collect money for our auction baskets from our parents? As Class Mom, usually send out a letter with an envelope attached asking them to donate items for the basket or a cash donation (in the envelope provided) if they do not have time to shop. I have a really hard time with the wording and feel like I have to send out 2 or 3 follow up letters requesting items or money. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.
