I am looking for new and fun carnival ideas for our annual school carnival. In the past we have done "Under the Sea", "Fall Festival". Any ideas would be wonderful.

It depends when your carnival is. Our's is next week and the theme is "mardi gras". The colors are green, purple and gold. It should be a lot of fun.

We are having a Spring Carnival but we don't have a theme (although I think that's a great idea). We are going to do the basic games: bean bag toss, ring toss, fishing game, nerf shooting game, duck pond, frisbee through a hula hoop, etc. We are also going to have a clown who will make balloon animals and the high school cheer leaders are going to do face painting. We're going to have cotton candy and/or popcorn, a digital camera set up for making buttons, and an auction of student made items (each class will make one project). It's our first one so I can't say these are tried and true ideas. Have fun!

How about a Luau, Patriotic theme, or 50's theme?

We have a spring dance and do just a few of those thing. It is a rock thru the ages kind of theme. We incorporate the school so that monday is 50's, tuesday 60's and so on. With hula hoop contests and big wheel races...

Kids really get into dressing up in their favorite era.
