High School Fund Raising

Here is some food for thought for you- how about a pancake supper or spagetti dinner? Charge a couple bucks at the door and see how much you can get donated from your local market to help with costs! Our church does this for the scholarships they award graduating students of the parish. Something I would like to try is a White Elephant auction. Have parents bring items (no junk) that they have made or purchased along with donated items from businesses (I would love to be able to auction tickets to a Broncos game!) and the highest bider 'wins' the item. Money is collected that night. My husband's Elk's club does this at Christmas as a get together and fundraiser for their group and do well with it. We haven't done it at our school yet but I don't think I've 'sold' the idea to the right people...YET! Well, good luck to you!
