Hello,
I am new to the PTO board this year but noticed last year that many people were "turned off" at the first meeting. It wasn't very welcoming and nothing was explained to the new parents about how things were done. Being on the board this year I would like to explain "how we work" at the first meeting and then have flyers available for the following meetings explaining. What I am looking for are guidelines on voting. What we do is have a motion, second the motion and then all in favor yes or no. I could just say that but I am looking for something maybe a little more formal that explains each step a little better.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
