Hello. I have been reading this board for several months and I really appreciate all of the ideas that I have read here. I actually work for a nursing home. I found this board when I was looking for donations for charity events I have been working on for our nursing home. The fundraisers are for the animal shelter and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
What I need some ideas for now is: I am trying to start up a program with a local elementary school. We are trying for a grant to be able to get some of the kids here for a field trip. I would like to do other things for the school to start building rapport with them.
I was trying to think of something like a contest for the kids that the residents at my facility could choose a winner. The winning class would win something like a party that our facility would furnish. Because you all are so involved in your schools, I thought you might have some ideas. I don't have children and don't know much about schools these days.
