I've also seen picnic baskets (you can get a cooler pretty cheap now and fill it up!); lottery ticket; bingo; candy; camping; exercise; various gift certificates.

We've also asked each family from the school to donate a contain of "stuff". People were very creative. They may filled ziploc containers with candy; canning jars with candy/food, paper clips, tea, rubber bands, swedish fish, etc. whatever they could think of. We displayed them and people bought them for $1 or $2 each. Since everything was donated, it was pure profit. Some parents even donated more than one.

I've seen a "lego" basket, an office supplies baskets, "teacher" basket, a chocolate one, a coffee/tea one..car wash basket, tools (great for the guys), baby basket, scrapbook basket, a family night basket, games basket, just to name a few. You can use regular baskets or make the container fit the theme - an inexpensive plastic tool box for the tools, a bucket for the car wash, etc.

I am not sure where your from but a couple of schools in our district that do this have made "Fishing baskets". We live in a county with 2 rivers and a lake and many ponds so that was kind of popular. You could do other sports baskets too. Is golf or any other sports popular in your area?

We've never did this technically but last year some of the staff went together and fixed up Christmas baskets (not just paper but decorations and such). They donated this for our prize walk for a special $5.00 walk. It was very successful.

At the top of this page [login/register/search/faq ...] click on "search". On the search page, for search words, type in "Theme Baskets"; for search forum, type in "Fundraisers". You'll find a TON of ideas!

You've got alot of good ideas! A couple more might be a gardening "basket" - actually, you can use a big terra cotta pot instead of the basket, a pasta basket pasta, sauce, wedge of parmesan cheese, a pasta fork, an Italian like kitchen towel,(Cost Plus is a good resourse if you have one near you), a parent child reading basket - some books, maybe a fleece throw, two mugs and some packs of hot chocolate mix, a sports basket - maybe a theme from a professional team near you, or one for kids, jump ropes, frisbees, etc. Hope these ideas help

Hi everyone!! I just love sharing all these ideas but I need some help here... This is our first Fall Festival and we are going to have each class donate items for a raffle basket. I have been racking my brains and I would some theme's that you've used. I have thought of a few: Sunday Morning breakfast, candles, baking basket, gift wrap assortment, movie time bucket, beauty spa, and arts and crafts.

I would love any other ideas..I need 9 themes altogether (K-8) school with 270 students.
I'm thinking of charging $1.00 per chance...is this good??

Thanks for all your help.
