That's fantastic. Did you know the author lived in your area or how were you able to go about securing an author? That's an excellent idea!

We hold 2 events similar to this every year and we tie them into our book fairs. Amazing how many more books we have sold since starting this.

It is so exciting when an event is successful! Congratulations!!!

We just had our Family Story Night tonight, and it was fantastic. We had the children's author Deborah Blumenthal come out and read her books "Don't Let The Peas Touch" and "The Chocolate-Covered-Cookie Tantrum". It was wonderful. We sent a flyer home with all the kids and invited them to bring their families, wear their pajamas and come for a story and juice and cookies afterwards! We had a ton of people comeout. We sold Deborahs books and she autographed them for the kids. They all loved it!
We ended up running out of books, so I have to order more and then take them down to Deborah's house and she is going to sign them for the children!

It was a great event to host, it brought out alot of families and encouraged reading!
