Prizes....Which way to go?

At our Fall Fest we hand out little goodie bags ahead of time and then as the kids win prizes they can put them in their bag, this seems to work for us. At each game we have a bin that they can pick their prize from, since we dont charge for this they can only win four prizes but play as much as they want.

I agree that the end of the event is best...it is exciting for the children to get to "shop" at the end and it saves the parents from becoming the prize "'handler"...they'll thank you for that...d

I think the idea of everyone getting a bag of goodies at the end of the evening is a terrific one. That way you are sure everyone gets one and you don't have a problem of the "same" kid getting all the prizes at the booth or getting too many prizes from a booth ~ when they do the booths over and over for fun.

You could do "color coded" goodie bags ~ use a different color for each grade, so that the goodies are age specific... just an idea.

Let me start by saying the amount of info on these board is absolutely invaluable to a newbie like me!!

This is our first time ever doing a spring carnival, and I will admit, I don't know what I'm doing! I have scoured the boards, and taken notes, but I must say, I just don't know which is the best way to go for prizes.

Is is better to have prizes given at each booth, a redemption booth, or the non-competitive everyone get a bag of goodies at the end of the evening? There are so many choices, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO? :eek:

We are a small school (250), with a limited budget, and I am expecting several volunteers. I would really like to hear some of your experiences.
