OK. So I can't stand to see zero messages in the "today's active topics" area.

Merry Christmas everyone! With 4 kids under 8, I'm gearing up now for the 6 hour put-it-all-together-after-the-kids-go-to-bed-a-thon that begins tonight at 10.

T'was the night before Christmas, so quiet the boards
Not a volunteer was here typing; all out at the stores?
When what do my wonderous eyes but appear
A PTO Santa for each poster here...

To us all he brings spirit, to refill our coffers,
All the money we need to maintain our school's offers.

He's got boxes of bake sales and presold out candles,
Cookie dough, family nights, all the help we can handle...

As he turned to us all and said "smile with no fear..."
His spirit of giving would be ours till next year.

Then brushing his coat and wiping a shoe
He said "Many thanks for all that you do..."
"Somewhere tonight there are children just smiling,
all the memories you make for them just keep on piling..."

"Your the best" he said nodding and wiping a tear..
"I can not wait to see what you bring them next year!"

Merry Christmas with respect for all you do to make this world better!

We just finished "round one" of a four part Christmas with designated time spent at different branches. About to leave for part 2, which is candelight service with my inlaws. I love them all, but I swear it's like a train schedule every year. However, I'm grateful we have family on both sides to spend time with.

Happy Holidays! Enjoy your friends and families. Everyone keep warm and safe.

I'm waiting on the guys to fall asleep so Santa can come and I can hit the sheets. This Christmas has been so nice and relaxing. It has been wonderful to be with family and hang out with my kids.

D--you are the most creative person I have ever met. You amaze me with the things you come up with.

Merry Christmas to everyone! I am always so encouraged and inspired when on this site. I don't know what I would do without it!

May the spirit of Christmas fill your hearts.

We always open after midnight mass so we are done!!!
Everyone seems really happy and I am completely exhausted. I spent the afternoon with my grandmother in the hospital but she was finally released. We made 2 Christmas stops, had the 7th of 8 parties for the season, and went to mass, which the kids only stayed awake through because they knrw santa was at the house while they were sitting there bored.
I get to sleep in tomorrow, make a dish to take to the final Christmas, and then we are doing $.25 bowling at the local alley in the evening. I've been going so hard for the past 2 weeks that I'm ready to sleep in a few days. Merry Christmas to all....

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
