Volunteer Appreciation: Volunteer Honor Roll Program

This program helps increase membership by requiring it for participation. Volunteers want the praise of being in the honor roll so they try hard to volunteer at least the minimum times to earn the token gift. Our first year with the program we used recycle bags purchased by spirit wear to sell several years ago. We used iron on transfers to add the PTA Volunteer Honor Roll logo on the back for a very low cost. The teachers and staff were particularly excited about this program since they are all members but normally receive very little appreciation when they help at PTA events. The bags we gave out became a status symbol that all the teachers competed to get first.
