REX BOHN“Doughnuts With Dad has become a popular tradition at our elementary school; this year, the middle school PTO decided to try it. We promoted the free event at conferences, through the school newsletter, and via email. Over 100 dads and children came! The PTO provided the doughnuts and juice, while the cafeteria staff brewed the coffee. A generous parent donated a pair of professional basketball tickets, so we sold raffle tickets. The proceeds covered the cost of the whole event. After about 45 minutes, the dads escorted their children to class and then headed on to work and beyond. By 8:30 a.m., it was all cleaned up and we were smiling over one last cup of coffee.”
