We are going to use 2 liter bottles of soda and have a ring toss...The bottle the ring lands over is the prize for the toss. Usually the bottles can be donated by local companies.

We did the jail at a spring fling they loved it!!

We also fix one room as a dance they receive a glow necklace as an entrance through out the night. It cost a little more than the regular games but the older children like it.

How about something that is educational and fun at the same time.
Or karaoke, I've also seen Guitar Hero at my nephews carnival. It might sound cliche but people would pay to show off their skills.

This was a HUGE money maker for us at $1 raffle for principal and we also got the teachers to do it to at $5 a pie.

We just had our spring carnival this past Friday. We had dunk tank, bounce area (boune house & bounce slide), plinko game, ping pong ball toss into fish bowls (the prize was a gold fish), putting green, shark attack (5.5' tall shark that the kids threw bean bags into), bullseye ring toss, chicken in a pot (throw rubber chickens into pots at varying distances), and a tiny tot land (lucky duck game, bozo bucket toss & and a bean bag toss game - all aimed to the under 5 crowd).

I got this idea from an ebook on Fall Carnivals I found at www.volunteerspot.com/ebooks. The kids loved it.
Toy Swap bring a toy and drop it off upon entering the carnival get one swap ticket for each toy brought. Collect toys up until a certain point in the carnival day. At a designated time, open the toy swap to everyone whos brought something. This is a great fall carnival game for these tough times, when lots of people have things to give, but not much money.
