I would reccommend that you first choose a "Theme" and then concentrate on that theme. For example, Sports....send letters to all the professional sports teams, football, hockey, baseball, basketball, etc. Many teams will send photos, pennants balls that are autographed. You will have better luck with near local teams but even some of the far off teams will send something if your letter strikes them like a good cause...hint..how you write the letter.

The "cause" is the secret...does it perk their interest? This also applies to celebraties, and other companies.

On more hint...don't count on the Theme idea...look for other donations to add a variety of items for your auction.

Thanks so much for the ideas. I can't wait to check back and see what else has been added. I have the address for a few colleges that will sing a ball(that you send) or picture. I would love to get to Disney World and see if they donate. Any ideas on that one???
