Do you recommend having a teacher as tresurer? Are teachers or parents to organize? /

Many school districts and towns have policies on this. And what do your bylaws say regarding who is a member and who can be an officer of the parent group? If a teacher is willing to take on the job and the group votes her/him into the position, why not let them? Here is an answer from Ask Elly regarding a teacher as a president.  Also here is a good article about getting teachers on your side.
