Go to this site, If he is really a sex offender, he should be listed here.
Tell his wife that his presence at school won't be tolerated, tell the authorities. Most importantly, talk to you your kids.

It could be asked that the Vice President not be the one to take pictues at school events on behalf of the PTO. Since there is an issue at home and the pictures could be seen by her husband, I feel that she should be more than understanding with that. If he has been in the school, I believe that is against the law. Registered offenders cannot purchase a home near a school, playground or other central places where children can be found. So entering a school should be a huge violation. Speak to your principal and see what action they take. If nothing, see your school board. If nothing, the police. However, in ALL cases, you must have facts and not rumors or exaggerations. You need dates and names for anyone to listen seriously to what you are presenting them with

wow, 'let the school do their job'?

the school is the last 'person' i would sit around and wait for, to 'do their job' given whats been described, sounds like theyre precisely NOT doing their job.

As far as the pictures, our PTO board takes pictures at all events for the office for the yearbook. So, for a VP that's a possibility.

Trust the school to take the measures that are needed. Also, trust your PTO Board. As a mom on a board, I would never do anything to jeopardize the safety of another child no matter how hard up we are for volunteers.

Beware of your situation and your surroundings. We can all do our part to keep the children safe.

I don't know. I'm not one of those, "It takes a village" thinkers. But I do believe that it takes many sets of eyes and ears to keep our children safe. You'd better believe that the minute I saw a registered offender anywhere near my son's school I'd be the first to call the police. I'd certainly let the administration know about my actions but I wouldn't pass the buck and wait for someone else to do the right thing.

I agree with contacting the principal. But let the school officials do their job. I think YOU contacting the police would be out of line.
