80's themed family night

18 years 9 months ago #119189 by ptohyeah
It seems Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club are always playing on one channel or another on satellite. And yes, I stop to watch. Can't help it and I think someone should really consider sequels!!! How cool would that be??? Instead of Sixteen Candles, how about Thirty Six Candles? ha ha Did Samantha marry Jake?? Did Farmer Ted stay with the beauty queen?? What happened to Dong??? I need all of these questions answered! ha ha

A sequel to The Breakfast Club would have been great years ago. What happened when they all went back to school on Monday??

OH, will we ever know??? Obviously, us 80's gals need our own section on the boards. hee hee

Ok, it's 3 a.m. and I can't sleep, so the tv is on with an old rerun of Saturday Night Live. You know, John Bulishia, Gilda Radner, Chevy Chase, etc. I know the names are spelled wrong, but you get the picture.

I think I had done that "manuver" in private before, but not while talking to a rich, hunky man! We are talking about the lingerie thing, right?!

What trick would that be?

Flashdance was taboo in our house when it came out, and now that I am old enough to make my decisions about what to watch, I haven't cared to watch it.

How cool, a fashion show. There could be a small entry fee and the one that has the hippest 80s look wins.

Did anyone else learn the same trick I did off of Flashdance? ;)

Yup, that's what ol' Kasey (Casey?) would say (except change "and the ground" to "on the ground") I was in college by the time the 80's hit. Did anyone else have "Candies" shoes? They were a must for going out dancing.
I think some type of 80's clothing contest would be fun for parents and kids alike. We've come up with so many fashion themes in this thread--there could be quite a variety.
