How's Your Fun Factor?

Check out this great blog post we just published about a Kentucky PTA that knew just how to engage parents and kids in a really fun way.

What about your group—would parents think of it as fun? A fun organization with fun events and fun people? How about potential volunteers—what do they think of your group?

It’s one of the most essential challenges for successful PTOs and PTAs because even though the work we do is important and serious, we actually can’t do it well unless we have more and more volunteers helping us out and more and more parents connecting with us and the school.

And if your group and its events aren’t known as fun, then that will be an ever-frustrating challenge. It’s that simple. All of the incentives and pleas and guilt trips in the world won’t solve your involvement challenges if your group is a giant drag.

My article called Is Your PTO Fun Enough? addresses this point more fully.

As well, we have tips for making your meetings more fun, and even some cool flyers for moms nights, and dads nights, and parents nights out.
