This is my favorite time of the year because just about every week our staff gets to interact personally with several hundred PTO and PTA leaders at one of our PTO Expos across the country. The energy can power a whole city!

But even if you aren't in an Expo region, I strongly recommend connecting with the wider community of PTO leaders out there. This parent group job can be frustrating and tiring and isolating. Many times the other moms and dads at your school can't understand all that you are struggling with. Nor do they get the joys of seeing your hard work pay off in a vibrant school community or great event or a new playground for smiling kids.
Connecting with people who get all of that is a great way to reenergize and to get insight and ideas to do this important work even more effectively. If it can't be an Expo, then don’t forget our Message Boards and our Facebook community and Pinterest. You don’t have to do this crazy stuff all by yourself!
