For the last two years we did teacher survival kits. We made a little saying and put in all the items for a gift for Teacher Appreciation:
First one:
A chocolate kiss to remnd you that you are loved.
A match to light your fire when you feel burned out.
A tootsie roll to remind you not to bite off more than you can chew.
Smarties to help you on those days you don't feel so smart.
A band-aid to help heal what hurts you.
A snickers to remind you to take time to laugh.
A bag to help you keep it all together and to give you food for thought.
And most importantly, a candle to remind you that you brighten our students lifes' everyday.

Second;
This one has things that may not work for everyone, keep in mind that my school is closing.

A measuring spoon to tell you no one will ever measure up to you.
A lemon drop to remember when life hands you lemons to make lemonade.
A reisen candy to tell you that you are the "reisen" our school has been so wonderful and that everything happens for a "reisen".
A pack of "Extra" gum for all the times you have gone the Extra mile.
A toothepick so if we had to pick, we would pick you all over again.
A chocolate band-aid for life's little boo boo's
A penny because every penny counts when saving for C.S.R.
A straw for the times you gotta just suck it up.
A match to add a spark in your day.
A pen to write and keep in touch with the ones you will miss.
The last item in our bag, you can't smell or see it. You can just feel it. Our Thanks and inmeasurable gratitude.

I'm sure most people have had these ideas too but I hope it helps. Oh, for those who don't have it in their school C.S.R. stands for Class Size Reduction.

How about bath salts, ear plugs,/eye mask, and a pizza. you could call it an After Conference kit.
"Parents come and Parents go,
about their children they do know.
Your feet are tired, your body too
and now's the time that's meant for you!
So close your eyes, relax, digest
and settle down for a much deserved rest"

It could be 2 am but I felt a bit of creativity there...

A nice dinner. When I went in for our conference Tuesday, the teacher was eating food left over from the lunch room - an orange and a corn dog.

I think if you go to some of the crafts sites you will find those kits and a poem. Try a search of "survival kits" or communitycrafts.com I think has some listed.
