We have been using the flatbed Artwaxer machine in our school library for nearly 10 years . It is the best for hanging posters, setting bulletin boards and just all around use most anywhere. You can not put anything on windows, though, as the wax will melt onto the glass in the warm weather. It will come off, but is a messy job.

My only problem is getting the replacement wax. A little goes a long way, but finding a resource for purchase is difficult. There used to be wax available in regular and super tacky.

Also, if you want to wax construction paper posters, they will need to be laminated first, as the hot wax will bleed through the paper.

I have all my bulletin boards borders, and library shelf headers mounted with the art waxer. They are easy to take down at the end of the year, store and put back up the next year.

I am a child care provider and I have concrete walls in my daycare so I can not hang things. I love the art waxer. I can hang things on the wall and not peel the paint. Just make sure you pull it off the wall slowly or it will yank the paint off. Over all I love it.

Our PTO is considering purchasing the Artwaxer Repositional Adhesive System. The membership has conditionally approved the purchase, provided the officers gather more information in order to ensure that we are getting what we want, for the best price and best quality. If you have the Artwaxer, we would appreciate your thoughts on it--what do you/don't you like about it, is it easy to use, maintenance/repair, etc. We'd also like to know if there are other similiar systems, so that we can compare them to the Artwaxer.
