Parent Group of the Year, May 2001

There is nothing we like more than hearing about the good work done by parent groups across the country. Each year with our Parent Group of the Year search, we are privileged to hear how groups succeeded despite hardships, planned inspiring events, and much more. The 2001 (and first-ever) national winner, the Symmes Elementary PTO in Cincinnati, caught our attention by overcoming the devastation left by a tornado that ripped through their community and emerging with a renewed determination, focus, and generosity.
