A Different Kind of Play Date

To help introduce the concept of volunteerism to the very young, Corlears Cares, the community service arm of the Corlears Parents Association at the Corlears School in New York City, runs community service play dates. A volunteer takes a small group of children on a modified community service project, such as to drop off items at a local food pantry, then spends the next few hours overseeing the play date.
