Question: only two members on PTO Board

Our PTO Board only has two members a Secretary and Treasurer with vacancies in the Presidents and Vice-Presidents positions. We've gotten through the year okay. No one wants to be President or V.P. Any suggestions to get people interested for next year?

Talk to your most dedicated volunteers about what would make them comfortable taking a leadership position. How about splitting the jobs so that no one feels like they are responsible for the whole thing? I'd also use the fact that you've just completed a year without a president to demonstrate that the president isn't going to be overwhelmed with responsibility. How about having the secretary or treasurer move up and somebody taking one of those jobs? That seems like a logical stepping stone.
