Help with size of playground - any standards?

The playground company's rep can help you with the sizing of the equipment re: # of students etc.. we had a meeting with the rep and the head of our grounds dept. and it all worked out great!

Order catalogs from the various playground companies. Start in the PTO Today Yellow Pages to get to the various websites. All of the catalogs that I've seen (in recent months, as we just did this) included the number of children the structure was appropriate for. Hope this helps!

Are there any standards or research for how much playground equipment, or the size of a playground, is best for a certain number of students?

Looking for some supporting research to assist in the growth of our playground - which currently can only hold about 5% of our students.

thanks!

Sarah
