We get alot of brochures and literature about performers but how do you know if they are good? Can you make recommendations? What works best for a group of students between 200-500?

Our annual Cultural Arts budget is $5000. Our school is K-5 with 400 students. This amount usually brings in about 5-7 shows per year. We've had musicians, dancers, science shows, puppeteers, etc.

We budget $3,000 for these programs, usually has 3 or 4 groups each year. In addition to the $3,000 they can spend, they/we apply for grants and this can be added to the total cost once approved. Our school is k-5, 12 classes, 260 students.

I'm not exactly sure what qualifies as an "enrichment act", but I'll share our budget figures with you. At our K-1 school of 330 students, the PTO budgets $4,050 for (9) different assemblies during the year. These include musicians, magicians, storytellers, etc. We also allocate $300 for an in-classroom art appreciation program the PTO conducts (we call it "Art Smart"). Hope that helps.

I hope some people here can help me. i'm trying to tell our group that we should do more to bring in enrichment acts to school.

How much does your group spend on enrichment acts? Anyone have actual numbers or a guess?
