Metzy- Thanks, it's a council event so we didn't have a school. Outback Steakhouse is giving us a terrific deal ($5.00 ea) and they will be setting all up.
Something wonderful happened though!!!
It's all about trade shows. My husband is a property manager and got the info that there was going to be an trade show for properties. Free to get in and boy, I thought we had a lot of giveaways at the PTA convention. In the course of 12-15 booths, I got two prize donations and giveaways for 120 people from 3 different booths. all in the course of an hour and a half. I also got free food for me and the family. Got to recommend this to anyone looking for donations.
It was like Christmas!
Thank you all again. I've almost got it all together!

Look into salespeople. My brother in law is in sales and he gave me a ton of stick-ees, pens, pencils, note paper, pedometers, etc. It had names of drugs on them but who cares! They were great fillers!

Call your local auto dealers. Ask them for cash donations in amounts less than $100 (they are usually willing to give you a check on the same day with amounts less than $100). Explain what they are for, that you will be purchasing small, inexpensive gifts to thank staff and volunteers at your school. Tell them that you will hang their banners in your gym during the awards luncheon and send a 'Thank You To:' home in each backpack.

This has never failed for me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I had to put more hours into work this week and I'm feeling a little frazzled, working and getting ready to pull this off! Great ideas. We have a Sonic but none of the others (although I wish we had a Fudruckers, loved them when I lived in Pheonix!)
I also have a resource for post-its and I forgot all about it!
