Help with assembly ideas

We recently went out to dinner and there was a magician walking around from table to table doing magic/card tricks - it was very entertaining - you could have a magician come and put on an assembly. We also have had awesome assemblies put on by Motivational Media Assemblies - the lights go out and a "movie" is played simultaneously on three screens - last year the theme was "Champions" - this year it was "Big and Small" - very effective and great way to start the year

I have been a HSA President for the past 2 years and I have been reading this forum just as long. I knew I could come here to get good advice, so please help me out if you can. I recently took a position fundraising for kids with leukemia. One thing that I would like to implement in the program is assemblies. So, I need ideas on what to do to get and keep the kids attention. I was hoping to have different assemblies for different age levels (elementary, middle, high). I can use props or whatever and I have some good videos, but it will just be me at the schools. I want to use kids for volunteers and get them involved, but I'm not sure how. Please let me know if you have any good ideas. Thank you! :D
