I was wondering if anybody out there could point me in the right direction to verify a question our PTO has. We are indeed a 501(c)(3) organization. We do indeed have a Sunshine Committee to help families in need, usually with meals, babysitting, and carpools when there is an illness or death in the family.
Question: Can the PTO hold a fundraiser to raise money to benefit the family of a student who is seriously ill?
Any input or info would be apreciated. Thanks in advance.
