Gotcha covered - with the
100+ Teachers gifts,
the four different Survial Kits,
and the link for Teacher Poems --- that are great to put in the teacher mailbox with a little piece of candy or such taped to it.

Best wishes to all the PTO and PTA leaders for this new year and the relationship they are trying to strengthen this year!

Oh my gosh - PTOmomof5, how did I miss your substitution on Teacher Survival Kits. I loved the BALLON substitution - so much that I have already taken off the asprin idea and added the balloon idea!

see what happens when others see a great idea and take it to the next level with a new twist - that's what is so much for sharing idea - they are just the starting point - and from there the ideas just happen!

For all you others that have received the "Survival Kits - 4 to a page" be sure and add the change for you to remember too!

Here's an idea I ran across and wanted to pass along to ya'll for your gift ideas file (applicable to teachers, and board members - all are givers of so much).

Teacher Candle: KIDSMOM7 - explains how to make a great gift for your teacher.

Instructions:
Take tapered candles and place clear labels that had the following saying on them. I would have taken it one step further by dipping them in melted wax because the stickers were hard to keep on.

I use the idea and went to the $1 store and bought scented candles in glass jars. I took colored paper and printed out the saying and glued it onto the jar. Then I decoup ged the jar. (of course I took off the label). Here is the poem -

Where there is no knowledge, there is darkness.
Where there is no involvement, there is no hope.
Where there is no striving, there can be no excellence.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, getting involved, and striving for excellence in our children.

great idea for Board members as a end of the year gift "

Speaking of great teacher gift ideas -

Here's a great idea that was on the FEN message boards

"......5th grade teacher in Delaware and ...edited... while she loved all the gifts the one that stood out the most was the PTA and volunteers came and washed their cars while they were in school one day. Our school will probably do this too one day! "
