Our school used Interstate Studio a couple of years ago and were very pleased with them. We chose to use LifeTouch this year because we thought it would be easier since they do our pictures. I have not been disappointed yet, but the year is still early. Interstate Studio seemed to be a really good company from what I remember

We're doing a yearbook this year, for the first time, and after researching cost, ease, etc., we came up with the following company:

yearbookavenue.jostens.com/

Seems pretty easy. Today I uploaded dozens of photos and am meeting with a rep tonight who is going to guide our committee in creating the pages.

Hope this helps.

we are using Taylor Publishing again this year. We interviewed 5 other vendors including Life Touch.... We used Life Touch a few years ago. this year, when we interviewed them, they seemed great until it was time to negotiate. We've also used Jostens too.

sometimes it's easier to use the company that takes the school picture.

speaking of negotiations.... I found out it varies from school to school. Life Touch offered us $16.98 for 300 full color yearbooks. they offered another school $12 for 250 full color books.

it's ALL in the negotiations. read the entire contract and fine print before you sign it in blood.

you can negotiate over runs, deposits, number of books, price per book, deadlines, posters, fliers, money collection envelopes, etc.....

this is my first year so it's a learning year for me.

So far, I'm happy with Taylor. They have an online program.

there are so many things you take for granted like....page numbers...who would've thought you had to ask for page numbers? but if you don't....they will charge you for it....there's tons of hidden charges.

I put together a FAQ that I wanted to ask my vendor. this helps you get the information and helps the meeting go faster since they know what questions you have.

good luck,

Try Taylor Publishing. Our elementary school had a good experience with them for many years until our PTC board decided to make a change.

We are going with School Annual The rep has been very helpful and their kit is so easy to do that we are actually looking forward to making our yearbook. (our first time at it. The last time a yearbook for our school was done was over two years ago.) Their website is www.schoolannual.com
