Oops--I forgot--About a day or so after the brunch, we gave them all a letter with everything that we are doing for the first 2 months, and where we needed help, with the suggestion of breaking it into months, by grade level. Ex--5th grade helps with August, 4th with sept, ALL for October (our big carnival), nov and dec are luncheons and santa shop so they really can't help, 3rd with Jan, 2nd with Feb, 1st in march and K in may. they liked it but we will see how that goes. Our specialists will fill in. We started with 5th first because K is so crazy this time of year. We asked the principal to help us with reminders on this also.

We did a back to school brunch for the teachers and on the computer printed out an invitation to the brunch, saying they were cordially invited, etc and the guest of honor was YOU! (the teacher). We just did it in a pretty font. i found a poem somewhere on this site about back to school and it had an sweet alternative ending and I printed it out on pretty scrapbooking paper and framed it and set it up in the middle of the table on a pedalstal stand. All but 2 teachers came and all the custodians came.

Good Luck!

We are having a teachers luncheon next week. I need to put together a letter to the teachers and para's from the board. I was wondering if you had any ideas of what to say in it. I would like to see more involvement from them and we are going to try and have incentives (raffles) this year for the teachers.

Any advice or words would be awesome.

Thanks, Nicki
