Everyday Math login

We use everyday math and I am definitely...DEFINITELY not a fan.

To get into the emgames site, you need the password that your teacher should have assigned. You also have to allow pop-ups so you need to turn off your blocker.

I find the program very week in computational skills, big on using non math ideas to teach math principles and that this their undoing. There is nothing wrong with using formulaic algorithms to figure out the answer. Especially in a timed test situation where you don't have alot of time. Ugh. And don't even get me started on the ***-backwards way they teach long division.

Sorry for the rant...

I KNOW! I find it very hard as a mathematically challenged parent!

However, I am determined to help my kids GET IT!

We had Everyday Math last year, and everyone was confused! Students, parents, and teachers are so glad that the school board decided to use new curriculum this year.

Hello,

Does anyone out there use Everyday Math?

My son's teacher last year gave us a login to the website so we could use the games to learn the math concepts but it is now not working.

The games were wonderful for learning the math program. As a parent I have such a HARD time! :(

I contacted the principal and he said the school couldn't fund the program this year.

Thanks
