OK, did this web site edit my links, or did my browser do that? I just put in the URLs.

If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down. <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

Definitely check the MS web site. If you know how to use frames, it is not too hard to create your own, either.

Also, having no money to spend should not be an obstacle to having great software. There is more Open Source stuff out there for Windows every day. Totally free.

Check out OpenOffice.org: Home and Open Source Alternative - Find Open Source Alternatives to commercial software .

Microsoft has a ton of free templates. Many use Publisher, but some use Word. ( office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT101043281033.aspx )

I use their site for clipart (THOUSANDS of items), templates, downloads, and how to's. So that you don't have to remember a long link and also can find it when you are at another computer, here's what I do:

go to Microsoft.com
put "clipart" in the search box

Usually the first choice is this user area. There's so much available it can be a bit overwhelming at first, but play around with it and you'll find lots to use.

We do use publisher...but I would think you could create the same template on powerpoint -- you can see ours under the newsletters tab at brentpto.com

I have an example I created for our newsletter last year. I typically use Publisher, but I had to convert to Word when we were able to post the newsletter to our website. Not fancy, but it got the job done. I'd be happy to send it to you. -Jill
