Love the Lei idea. You can find cheap Leis at your local dollar tree or craft store.

With the Island theme how about something with a Hawaiian Lei?? Hand every parent one to wear with a note about your school lei-ing the groundwork for success or for a great education???

this is my first year on our PTo so i am not sure how to help you but the magnet thing works well for our parents, we have them done each year...good luck

What about magnets that have the important school numbers on them-- Stay connected with XXX school and the PTO.
Add the absentee line, main number, PTO number, website address.

You could attached these with a small glue dot onto a picture of an island made out of cardstock--

I also made postcards to hand out that have all the PTO meetings on them...
