Thanks so much for the response. I am definately going to try out having the principal write out her projects for me ahead of time! Wish me luck!!

Our principal is no diffenent than any other PTO member when it comes to requests--she must submit the request at a meeting and it will be voted on or agreed to be taken up by the PTO. The next time she asks you to accomplish something have her write it up for presentation at the next PTO meeting. You are your own organization--not an employee of the principal!!

In my second year as president and the most important word I learned last year was no. You can't do everything and trying to do everything will eventually hurt your PTO.

I am the PTO President. The principal has a great trust in me as I am also The Parent Center Coordinator.
I am beginning to feel like she is dumping every possible activity she can find on me.Some of these things I believe should be handled by the staff. (Yes, I have told her that on a few occasions, but she thinks I can do everything!)
All of my officers are doing a wonderful job, and I am not sure how to delegate some of these very important activities.
You know, if it doesn't get done right, it falls on me.
Before I get one project started she's got something else for me to do too.
Can anyone share your wise words of advice with me.>>>>>
