PTO Membership Cards

We make our own. We bought bussiness cards and I ran them off my computer. When we run short I just run off some more. That way we don't waste a bunch of cards and can type the school year on them.

We used our school mascott (hornet) and put a heading on it as "PTO Membership Card". We had a place for the members to sign them and the school year.

Our vice-president works at Wendy's. She asked the owner if we could place a 10% discount on the card if it was shown with a purchase. He agreed and we put the discount on the back of the card. Next year we are going to ask a couple of more business to include on the back of the card. We think this might have helped out as a selling point.

Hope this is of some help....

Hi Sallianne -

No, there are no formal PTO membership cards because there is no formal PTO umbrella organization. Each PTO is independent.

If you want a quick primer on the differences between PTOs and PTAs, you might try our "PTO v PTA" cover story in the featured articles section of this site.

Good luck -

Is there an 'official PTO membership card'?

We are re-starting our PTO, and want to provide memb. card to those who join and pay dues. Anyone?

Thanks in advance! (If there isn't an official card, of course we can design one for our use, but it would be nice to be 'PROPER'.

Please e-mail me with any news...
