Parent Advisory Committee

Do you hold your parent meetings in the daytime or the evening?
Our school has a PAG (parent advisory group) that is similar to your group.... but it meets in mid-day. Which explains to ME why there are usually just the same 5 moms there everytime, but no one else seems to think that is a problem.
I asked once about holding it at nite, but the principal didnt want to commit to any other evening hours.

My school set up a Parent committee of such last year to help the screaming matches at the PTO mettings (and it has helped!) The principal hand selected from the parents that applied, they meet on the first Monday of the month and most of the time take the questions parents have or are prepaired by the school with information about an issue the group knows someone will bring up. This is more of a discussion forum that a 'meeting' per say. There are no officers (just a chairperson or lead) and no money (they have no budget or fundraising responiblities). Parents really like the chance to air out their concerns and know they can or will be able to obtain answers. To be a member you need to be a parent otherwise we just started so no one has left. Also the PTO loves it since the committee can handle and direct these people better than the PTO ever could. I hope this helps!

Parent Advisory Committee was created by SSassmann
I currently run a child care facility and would liket to incorporate a Parent Advisory Committee to assist in many aspect of our program.
My specific questions are: How to set up the committee, what should the role of the members be, selection process, replacement procedures, number of members, and frequency of meetings.
