New fundraising company recommendation needed

My name is Tammy Hassan and I am the PTO president for Venetucci Elementary. We decided to try Schwan’s for a fundraiser for a couple of different reasons. The primary reason is that there is no delivery involved for the parents or the PTO. This means that the students were able to go out, sell the products, collect the money and the fundraiser was basically done. This made the PTO’s life easier and much easier for the parents who didn’t have to do Pick up or delivery. We just completed our fundraiser and it was extremely successful. I have not had one complaint so far and all but 2 of the orders have been delivered. The staff with Schwan’s was helpful and always on top of things for us. The final reason that I chose Schwan’s is because I have used their products and know that they are of a quality nature. I don’t have to worry about the customer being upset that the product wasn’t any good.

We have about 600 students. Our typical profit is around $30k. We are looking to increase that without adding more burden on the parents. The parents are tired of the same old things, and the fundraiser we tried last year really fell apart at the end.

Keep the suggestions coming!

I would go to Picateers.com

You can have parents take over the school portraits and make all the money. It's easy, we did it. Among your parents, you will have several professional photographers. Picateers was started by some educators to make the money for the schools. The portraits can make 50-70% profits! Everything else you can get 25% without any selling on your part.

After having a multitude of problems in recent years, we switched to www.Genevieves.com also. Our rep is in the next town and looks after every last detail. It's a pleasure to work with Genevieve's.

We kickoff our spring fundraiser on Feb. 9th with a company called La-Tee-Da Fundraising. I actually saw their full page ad in PTOToday magazine. They sell glass jar candles, car airfresheners and dry cookie mixes, soup mixes and dip mixes. We are really excited about it because we can choose how much profit we want to make...40%, 45%, 50% - all the way up to 60%!! They charge nothing for shipping, they don't charge you for the fundraising packets, the orders will come back presorted by class & student. They also provide sample cups of the 10 candle scents so the kids can have people smell the candles before they purchase. We are really excited about this product!! We have a school enrollment of about 285 and we are hoping to earn about $5000 profit. Check out www.lateedafundraising.com
