Oh, and one more question-how many students actually participated in this fundraiser? Thanks again.

J. Casey, when you say it was your 3rd largest fundraiser, what did that translate into in dollars? And how many students do you have in your school?

I'm starting to look at ArtStamps more seriously, but we TRY to only run the Fall fundraiser to get $ for the PTA to get started on the year, and then make the rest of our $ from events like the Penny Social, Spaghetti Dinner, etc. We have some specific goals in mind for what we collect this year (for a change) so I'm a little more interested in the bottom line. Thanks!

I saw the company at a fundraising show, the only thing that bothers me is that I figured if my child made an art design for a stamp and I used it to mail holiday cards most people would just throw out the envelope and that bothered me. Someone mentioned note cards maybe they would save something like that. Just a thought

Hi! I ran this fundraiser in my son's school and the intermediate school. I liked it so much I just started to do some promotional work for the company. It did really well and didn't take me too much time. I ran it with no help because ArtStamps sends the stamps and notecards directly to the child's home so there is no distribution at the end. Next year when I run it I will get a volunteer to help with getting the Artwork home to the parents and taking the orders becuase that was somewhat time consuming by myself (we ran it for 1150 students). It was our 3rd largest fundraiser for the year so it did well financially for us. The parents really liked it as well because it is really different. Thanks!

I saw an advertisement in PTO Today for ArtStamps. Apparently, a kit is given to a student and they are able to make a design for a stamp. These are real stamps issued through the United States Post Office.

I called the company and asked what happens when the Post Office increases the price of the stamp and she explained to me that this student stamp will include the new price increase (MaY 2007) and the new "Forever" stamp. I would think parent's would like to have stamps designed by their children, along with other relatives.

Anyway, has anyone done this particular fundraiser? How did it go? Was the profit worth the work involved? Thank you.
