Has your school ever hosted a Mom2Mom Sale?

A neighboring school district's PTO has done this for the past four years. I've attended the last two and they seem to go over really well. They don't allow any junk. They set up in their gym. You must be selling clothing, books, puzzles, games, sports equipment, etc. I believe they have a limit on toys also, but I'm not sure. Seems to me there wasn't many toys when I went. They charge each mom $15 for the space, a few dollars more if they want to use one of the school's tables. They will also take donations of items if folks have just a bit and don't want to mess with it all. The PTO takes care of sorting, pricing and displaying these items and get to keep the money. They also have their local cub/boy scouts come in to sell lunch and keep the money. Basic fare of hot dogs, nachos, bags of chips and soda. There was a bake sale last time also. I do remember that they advertised in our paper for people to sell items and then also for the event itself. I never pay to advertise anything. There are too many free resources out there and our paper does a great job of doing press release/ads for us for free! I'm sure they also sent home notices via the backpack express.
This same group has dome a community rummage sale with the same premise only you can sell anything as long as it's clean and appropriate for young eyes. That looked a bit junky, I thought the Mom to Mom sale was nicer. I've thought about this program at our school but I honestly can't take on another thing and no one else has been that excited about jumping on board.

Our PTO is thinking of hosting a Mom 2 Mom sale in the spring. We would be renting out table's to Mom's so that they can sell their gently used children's clothing, equipment etc.

If you've done this before any info would be helpful! Flyers, Registration Forms, Prices etc.

Thanks!
