We chose schoolkidz. They are owned by Staples and figured that would be the safest bet considering the current economic climate as well as some of the issues we have been hearing/reading about with other schools and their suppliers.

We have used usaschoolsupplies.com for a number of years now and they are great. No early sign up required and wonderful quality.

My school wanted to do the same thing. We have been in contact with schoolspiritgear.net for about a month now. They've been terrific about finding exactly what our kids are looking for, and their sales representative has made the whole process extremely simple.

I too use Schoolkidz and find them to be very easy to work with. As far as lead times, most companies require a lead time. It is true the earlier you can start the better off you are. I would highly recommend Schoolkidz. We have used them for 6 years now and have had no problems and they have worked through any issues we may have had.

Try Primary School Supplies at Primary School Supplies | School Tool Box
Parents receive a $5.00 target gift card, kits can be ordered on consigment and you can pay by cash, checks, and credit cards. Fundraising can be done also.

I am a new incoming PTO Co-President and think it is a good idea but am now finding out that you must start it in March to get it to work. If we can't do the actual kits because we are starting too late, can we have supplies on consignment to sell at our open house before school starts? Any advice on vendors? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

This is our first year doing the supply kits, the company we used is called Primary School Supplies I just received our school supply list for next year and i e-mailed the list to the rep. at Primary school Supplies. She e-mail the quotes, I looked them overed, okayed and the forms will be at the school in 24HRS. You can also add $1 or $2 to each kit to do a fundraiser for the school, the kits can be ordered on consigment and returned after school starts and evry kit that is ordered the parent receives a $5.00 gift card from target. Parents can pay by cash, check or credit card. the company website if you would like to check it out is: Primary School Supplies | School Tool Box I hope this helps. mary
